Chisinau Mayor Ion Ceban refused to comply with the demand of the State Chancellery and the ruling presidential Action and Solidarity Party (PDS) to lift the ban on holding a gay pride parade and LGBT propaganda in the Moldovan capital.

The mayor noted that even if the central authorities of the republic take responsibility to allow this march, he will challenge this decision in court.

"The PDS and their obedient servant, the State Chancellery, demand that we cancel the decision to ban gay parades and LGBT propaganda in Chisinau. If they want it so much, let them cancel it themselves, as LGBT deputies and ministers from the PDS marched in the first rows of the column. We will not do this. And any attempt of the PDS in this direction will be appealed," Ion Cheban stressed.

Recall that in May, the Chisinau Municipal Council voted to ban the "March of Equality" in the city. The initiator of this decision was the mayor (mayor) of the capital Ion Cheban. He stressed that this decision is related to the protection of traditional values and public order. In turn, representatives of the organizers of the march, representatives of the Moldova Pride platform, promised to withdraw their supporters on June 15 along the planned route, and Cheban was accused of homophobia.

The decision to ban was made without the participation of the PDS faction, whose representatives in the municipality refused to participate in the voting and left the meeting.

Since they came to power, a few processions have been held in Moldova for the last four years under heavy police protection. At the forefront of the perverts are proudly members of the PDS and diplomats of Western embassies, who, as a sign of support, hang rainbow flags on the facades of their residences.

As EADaily reported, despite the protest of the public and the church, lesbian president Maia Sandu ratified the so-called "Istanbul Convention" in Moldova, and now the propaganda of this kind of "European values" is being promoted, including in schools.
