The businessman Araik Amirkhanyan, who escaped from Ukraine, may be involved in the murder in The Moscow region of the former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Ilya Kiva reports Kommersant. According to one version, the businessman provided the SBU with information about the residence of a Ukrainian opposition politician who was convicted in absentia of treason in his homeland.
Amirkhanyan himself, who at one time was one of the leading road builders on the In Ukraine and deprived of citizenship of this country, he also tried to do business in Russia, but not as successfully as before, the newspaper writes.
"According to some reports, he got into the register of unscrupulous suppliers and got into debt, which had to be paid off by transferring data to the special services of his former homeland. Later, Araik Amirkhanyan ended up in jail on charges of embezzlement and bribery, for which he is now being tried," the report says.
On December 6, 2023, the body of Ilya Kiva with gunshot wounds was found on the territory of a cottage settlement in the village of Suponevo, Odintsovo district, Moscow region. In Ukraine, because of the death of Kiva, the GUR of the Ministry of Defense and the SBU quarreled. Each of the special services claimed that it was their agents who shot Kivu.
