The special services of Kazakhstan prevented the export abroad of more than 60 tons of strategically important raw materials divided into several batches. This is reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In Zhetysu region, law enforcement officers representing the police department, as well as the Department of Economic Investigations and the customs Service, stopped an attempt to illegally export a large batch of lead. Two trucks carrying more than 60 tons of metal were detained. According to preliminary estimates, the cost of cargo on the market is more than 60 million tenge. According to reports, lead was planned to be illegally sent abroad.
Operational actions are being carried out aimed at identifying and detaining all persons involved in the organization of this scheme.
Similar cases have also been recorded in other regions. In the North Kazakhstan region, a case was opened about the activities of an organization that tried to export scrap ferrous metals under the guise of high-quality steel. During the investigation, about a thousand tons of scrap metal were found, including seven wagons that were prepared for shipment to a neighboring country.
A channel of illegal shipment of scrap metal by sea to the countries of the Caspian region has been discovered in the Mangystau region. More than 400 tons of metal waste were found on the territory of one of the enterprises. Two containers were prepared for export. All persons involved in this incident were brought to justice.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that such measures are being taken to maintain the economic stability of the state and protect its interests.
