Russian President Vladimir Putin, unlike the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, turned out to be right, believing that time is playing on Moscow's side in the armed conflict on the Ukraine.
This opinion was expressed by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, quoted by the TASS news agency. He recalled that in July 2024 in Kiev he tried to convince Zelensky to agree to a cease-fire, but he did not agree.
Orban said that he later also addressed a similar appeal to Putin, however, was also refused. The Hungarian prime minister notes that then both sides of the conflict believed that time was on their side.
"The only difference is that Putin turned out to be right," the Hungarian prime minister stated.
It is worth noting that Budapest is confident that the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict will not be achieved through negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, and as a result of a deal between Russia and the United States.
Earlier, EADaily reported that in Brussels decided that Ukraine should continue the conflict, Hungary, on the contrary, supports efforts aimed at its peaceful settlement, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said.
