Political analyst Sergei Markov in his telegram channel expressed confidence that Europe and Ukraine will not accept Russia's proposal for direct negotiations and will refuse them. According to the expert, demilitarization is unprofitable for Kiev and its EU partners.
EADaily previously reported that Emmanuel Macron was not satisfied with Vladimir Putin's proposal for direct negotiations.
"Russia insists on this principle of Demilitarization of Ukraine as the most important condition for peace. And the war party in Europe and the Ukrainian regime deny this principle at all. Therefore, I think they will reject Putin's proposal," Markov believes.
In turn, Kiev and Brussels, the political scientist said, which is unprofitable to limit the size of the armed forces, will first of all demand a full truce.
