The British right-wing Reform UK party of Nigel Farage won a convincing victory in the local elections, defeating Labor and the Tories. It is reported by The Telegraph.
The author of the article does not rule out that Farage, who is supported by US President Donald Trump, will become the next British prime minister.
"Is this our future prime minister? They will, of course, do everything in their power to stop him, but Nigel Farage is a damn complicated man. Even his enemies must admit that to pacify both major parties, which have dominated the UK for so long, in one day is a real feat," the article quoted by the publication "Country".
According to the BBC, according to the preliminary results of the municipal elections on May 1, Reform UK receives more mandates than all other parties combined. Reform UK managed to win in constituencies that had previously elected either Labour or Conservatives.
