Lithuania blamed Belarus and Russia plans to attack the Belarusian community in the country

The special services of Belarus and Russia planned violent attacks on Belarusians living in Lithuania. This was announced today, April 23, by the Lithuanian Department of State Security (DGB).

According to the agency, organized offenses are becoming more and more dangerous and attempts to commit acts of violence against representatives of the Belarusian community living in Lithuania have already been recorded.

"The organizers are trying to create the appearance of a conflict between two warring forces — Belarusians who propagandize the ideology of Litvinism, and Lithuanian groups allegedly opposing them," the DGB said in a statement.

Let us remind you that there is a significant number of fugitive Belarusian opposition in Lithuania. In recent years, conflicts have been increasingly arising between them and local residents, including against the background of the spread of ideas of so-called Litvinism, according to which Lithuania is historically a Belarusian land. Vilnius blames the Belarusian authorities for what is happening.
