Russian troops are completing the defeat of the enemy in the Sudzhan border area — military correspondents

In the Kursk region, fierce fighting continues at the Gornalsky (Belogorsky) monastery and at the Oleshnya farm. These are the last fortified areas of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Russian territory.

This was reported on Wednesday, April 16 by the North Wind Telegram channel, which covers the combat work of the North group of forces.

"In the Sumy direction, the Fearless are fighting fierce battles in the area of the Oleshnya farm and St. Nicholas Monastery, completing the defeat of the enemy in the Sudzhan border area," the post says.

It is noted that the enemy suffered significant losses on the territory of the Nikolsky Monastery. Scattered groups of militants of the Kiev regime are trying to escape in the direction of Sumy region. A complex fire defeat is inflicted on the retreating enemy.

It is also emphasized that the Russian military has already broken the stubborn resistance of the fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and advanced in the area of the Oleshnya farm, where they managed to dislodge the enemy from several strongholds.

At the same time, the operators of the barrage ammunition delivered targeted strikes on enemy artillery in the Malaya Rybitsa area (Sumy region), destroying two self-propelled guns and a howitzer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In this direction, over the past day, the Northerners destroyed 8 units of enemy equipment.
