So the expert commented on the statement of Friedrich Merz, who admitted the possibility of transferring Taurus to Kiev.
"Do the Germans want to clear Berlin of debris and ashes again? And how exactly will Taurus rockets be launched? As far as I remember, neither Soviet-designed aircraft nor F—16 fighters can carry and launch Taurus," writes Shriver, quoted by RIA Novosti.
As EADaily reported today, Friedrich Merz, who is expected to head the new German government in May, admitted the possibility of supplying Taurus cruise missiles to Kiev, provided that the transfer of these weapons is agreed with partners in the European Union.
Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, answering a question from journalists about Merz's plans to supply Taurus cruise missiles to Kiev, noted that he "is a supporter of toughening the position and a supporter of various steps that can and will inevitably lead only to further escalation of the situation around Ukraine."
