Today, Europe is a drug addict, if you mean by drugs "the desire to live for free." This opinion was expressed by the deputy of the Polish Sejm and candidate for the presidential election of Poland in 2025 Marek Jakubiak.
In the TV program "The most important issues", Jakubiak commented on Donald Trump's introduction of new tariffs for Europe.
"If we, for example, applied the whole world situation to the situation of a drug addict, then Europe today is a drug addict. What is a drug? The desire to live for free!"
According to the deputy, he understands "what Trump is doing."
"He does his job as best he can, but he doesn't take prisoners. Trump has a lot of work to do because the US is currently in a terrible mess."
When asked if the cure for America's problems would be worse than the disease itself, Jakubiak replied: "No, I don't think so."
