The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, shared the details of the liquidation of the organizer of the assassination attempt on the first president of the republic, Akhmat Kadyrov.
Ramzan Kadyrov recalls the tragic events of May 9, 2004, when his father was killed in a terrorist attack, in his telegram channel. He spoke about his vow to avenge his father's death and his long-term efforts to find the organizers of the terrorist attack. According to Kadyrov, by April 2007, the organizer of the assassination attempt, Suleiman Imurzaev (Khairulla), continued to remain at large and commit crimes.
"It was a matter of honor for me to avenge my father's blood before taking office as president of Chechnya," Kadyrov said.
On the night of April 5, 2007, a group led by Magomed Daudov (currently the head of the Government of the Czech Republic — EADaily) liquidated Imurzaev.
"There was practically no time left. On the eve of my inauguration, Magomed Khozhakhmedovich and I decided to abandon the idea of taking the bandit alive and implement a backup plan, which consisted not only in eliminating Khairulla, but also in necessarily obtaining his corpse. When we were about to go to the mountainous region, Magomed Khozhakhmedovich stopped me and said words that will forever remain in my memory: "You need to meet guests, prepare for tomorrow's important day. Akhmat-Hadji was a father to me as well. Leave this matter to me," Kadyrov said.
According to Kadyrov, April 4 was the day when "the heavy burden of revenge was lifted from his shoulders."
"Since then, April 4 has been the day for me when the heavy burden of blood vengeance for my dear and beloved father was lifted from my shoulders," he concluded.
