Kazakh banks demand that the producers of the republic stop economic relations with Russia. This is reported by Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the agency, machine-building enterprises of Kazakhstan have asked for help from members of parliament due to the fact that with the refusal of banks to lend and make payments to those companies that have business ties in Russia. According to industrialists, banks began to demand letters of guarantee for refusing to export finished products to Russia is under threat of closing credit lines.
For this reason, a corresponding request was sent to the head of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan Timur Suleimenov.
"When servicing payments and money transfers, Kazakh banks take into account sanctions risks and conduct the necessary analysis of customer transactions within the internal risk management system," he replied.
Suleimenov added that currently more than 20 Kazakhstani companies are included in the US, EU, UK and Japan sanctions lists for the supply of sanctioned goods to Russia.
