The Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a missile attack on a market in the village of Velikiye Kopani, Kherson region. This was stated by the governor of the region Vladimir Saldo.
"Today, the enemy fired two missiles from the HIMARS MLRS directly at the shopping malls in Velikiye Kopany. At that moment, there were dozens of civilians, ordinary farmers who came to the market to sell their products. People were peacefully going about their business, and the enemy was coolly shooting at them. There are dead and many injured," Saldo writes in his telegram channel.
Emergency services are working on the spot, he noted.
The governor's press service reported that 7 people were injured. One person was killed, the regional Ministry of Health said.
"The information is still preliminary. We are waiting for all the victims. They are routed to the Skadovskaya hospital. So far, only two have been brought. Unfortunately, one of these two died. According to operational information, there are no children among the victims. All adults," the statement said, quoted by RIA Novosti.
