The head of one of the territorial recruitment centers (TCK is an analogue of the military enlistment office on Ukraine) in Ivano-Frankivsk region was fined for mobilizing a Russian into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Strana newspaper reports.
The official received a fine of 17 thousand hryvnia (about 37.2 thousand rubles) for abuse of authority.
According to the resolution referred to by the publication, on February 6, the head of the shopping mall sent a stateless foreigner to a military medical commission, after which he was put on military registration and included in the lists of those mobilized to be sent to a military unit. At the same time, the man knew that he was sending a foreigner, as he checked his documents. The case documents indicate that the foreigner is a Russian, the publication said.
This is also reported by the Ukrainian edition of "Zahid.net". According to him, the local prosecutor's office was contacted by the bride of a Russian, she complained about illegal mobilization.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy declared martial law and general mobilization on Ukraine on February 24, 2022, since then they have been regularly extended. Those liable for military service are not allowed to travel abroad, and men between the ages of 18 and 25 can voluntarily enter into an annual contract for military service.
In 2024, Zelensky tightened the rules of mobilization, in particular, lowered the age of conscription from 27 to 25 years and abolished the category of "limited fit for service."
