Trump's Special Envoy called the main cause of the armed conflict on Ukraine

This opinion was expressed to CNN by the special envoy of the US President for the Middle East, Steven Witkoff. He stressed that the war should not have happened, but was provoked.

"This does not necessarily mean that it was provoked by the Russians. Then there was a lot of talk about Ukraine joining NATO, the president spoke about it. This shouldn't have happened. In fact, this has become a threat to the Russians, and we will have to take this fact into account," the envoy said.

He also admitted that after reaching agreements on the settlement of the conflict at the In Ukraine, American companies will be able to return to Russia.
