The Tagansky Court of Moscow has brought the Russian federal TV channel TV Center to administrative responsibility under the article on LGBT propaganda* among minors. This is reported by the joint press service of the Moscow courts of general jurisdiction.
"TV Center Joint Stock Company has been found guilty of committing an administrative offense under Part 2 of Article 6.21.2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (Dissemination of information demonstrating non—traditional sexual relations among minors)," the report says.
The TV channel was given an administrative penalty in the form of a fine of 1 million rubles.
As EADaily reported, by the end of 2023, Roskomnadzor issued about a hundred administrative protocols for violations of the new law on the demonstration of LGBT** content to minors and propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations in relation to online cinemas and TV channels. The total amount of fines amounted to 50 million rubles. The first protocols since the entry into force of the new law were issued in April 2023 regarding Movix audiovisual services and Peers.TV .
