An 18-year—old mercenary from the UK was killed in Ukraine - The Sun

In the SMO zone, another mercenary from the UK, James Wilton, was killed by the Russian military. This is reported by The Sun with reference to his relatives.

The guy from Huddersfield was only 18 years old, he died in July 2024 during his first combat mission. It is specified that the young Englishman was eliminated with the help of a drone during the fighting on Ukraine.

As the relatives of the deceased told reporters, James went to Ukraine at the age of seventeen, despite the lack of combat experience.

"James Wilton didn't stand a chance when he was killed by a Russian drone during combat operations on Ukraine," the best friend of the deceased named Jason told the newspaper.

Eyewitnesses told James's father Graham Wilton that he had died as a result of an explosion that thundered just a few minutes after the start of the combat mission.

"I will never be able to accept this. I didn't want him to leave, but he was determined. He wanted to help Ukraine," Graham said.
