"Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan at a closed meeting with parliamentarians of the Baltic countries expressed harsh criticism of the Russian Federation, which caused confusion even among representatives of the Baltic countries. A parliamentary representative of one of the Baltic republics told the newspaper "Zhokhovurd" that Simonyan said that "Russia must be defeated, defeated, destroyed so that it would be good for us and the Baltic countries."
However, Simonyan's press secretary Mosves Harutyunyan answered the portal's question Armlur.am reported the following:
"The Speaker of the RA National Assembly has not made such statements, so it is impossible to answer a question about something that has nothing to do with reality."
