Refusals to extradite criminals to Russia from other countries have become widespread. This was stated by Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev at a meeting with the Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs of Mongolia, Oyunsaikhany Altangerel.
"The artificially inflated political agenda is often momentary and only creates favorable ground for crime. This also applies to the situation in the field of extradition of criminals. If earlier the refusals of foreign partners at the request of the Russian side were isolated and objective, now they are politically motivated and have become widespread," the official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Irina Volk quoted Kolokoltsev in her Telegram channel.
At the same time, joint work with Mongolian colleagues within Interpol is not subject to such negative aspects, she said.
"In this regard, Vladimir Kolokoltsev thanked Oyunsaykhany Altangerel for promptly organizing the extradition of a Russian citizen wanted by Russian law enforcement agencies from the territory of Mongolia. She is accused of at least 100 facts of fraud in receiving social benefits, " the report says.
During the meeting, the importance of permanent contacts between the border territorial bodies of internal affairs and the police was also noted.
