The Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to keep Velikaya Novoselka in the DPR by forces of the 48th separate assault battalion named after Noman Chelebidzhihan*. This was reported in the Russian law enforcement agencies, specifying that the militants fled, did not last in the village for two weeks.
"The militants of the 48th special battalion were transferred to Novoselka for detention, but they did not last two weeks and escaped. In this bath, terrorists are being trained to conduct terrorist activities," the TASS law enforcement agencies said.
They noted that the 110th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from among deserters and disabled people was abandoned without support.
Recall, on January 26, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that as a result of active offensive actions, units of the 5th Guards Separate Tank Brigade of the 36th Army and the 40th Guards Marine Brigade of the Vostok group of forces liberated the settlement of Velikaya Novoselka.
