The National Police of El Salvador is investigating the murder of Russian Elena N., who was hospitalized on Thursday with gunshot wounds and died in hospital from her injuries, one person was detained in this case.
"The case of Elena N. is qualified as murder. The forensic examination showed that there were no traces of gunpowder on the victim's hands, which excludes the possibility that she was holding the weapon used in the attack," the Salvadoran police said in a blog post on Wednesday.
A Russian citizen with gunshot wounds was found on Thursday by a police patrol who arrived on a phone call. Novoselova was immediately hospitalized, but on Friday she died.
The investigation found that the Russian woman provided escort services in this country, offering them online under the pseudonym "Lolita la Russita". A man named Ervin Lagos Andrade has been detained in a murder case. According to preliminary data, he was her pimp.
