The Russian army stopped an attempt to break through the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk border area

Russian fighters suppressed an attempt to break through the militants of the Kiev regime in the Kursk direction, the forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed on the approaches to the village of Berdin. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"In order to stop the offensive of Russian troops in the Kursk direction, the enemy launched a counterattack by assault groups in the direction of the settlement of Bolshoe Soldatskoye. The decisive actions of the units of the North group of forces with the support of aviation and artillery prevented the attempt to break through the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a result of the fire damage, the main enemy forces were destroyed on the approaches to the village of Berdin," the defense ministry said.

Ukraine's losses during the breakout attempt amounted to over 150 military personnel. The Russian army destroyed four tanks, two infantry fighting vehicles, and 16 armored combat vehicles. The engineering machine of the barrier was also eliminated.
