Escaped 2.5 years ago from Russian comedian and TV presenter Mikhail Shats❶ has finally decided on his homeland. Now this is Israel, he said in one of his stand-ups, which is published on the VotVot platform.
Schatz's stand-up is called "Finally."
"You know, it seems to me that we live in a time when the motherland as a whole is any place where you are asked a minimum of questions at border control," believes Schatz❶.
According to him, when entering Israel, the comedian was asked only one question: "Are you a Jew?".
"As you know, I knew the answer to it from childhood," the comedian concluded, thus explaining the choice of a new homeland.
As EADaily reported, Schatz❶ left for Israel after the start of a special military operation, loudly criticizing Russia's actions. Two years later, he matured to the sale of the remaining real estate in the country. So, in March of this year, he sold an 82-meter two-bedroom apartment in St. Petersburg, which was originally exhibited for 40 million rubles directly with family photos on the walls, but was sold at a big discount.
The comedian himself previously stated that he intends to appeal the status of a foreign agent to the ECHR (European Court of Human Rights). Schatz❶ said that several attempts to get rid of the status in the Russian courts were unsuccessful. According to the comedian, the foreign agent status makes him a person "affected in rights."
