Ukrainian General Mikhail Drapaty, appointed by the head of the Kiev regime Zelensky to the post of commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), is a war criminal.
This was stated to RIA Novosti by Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the Commission of the Public Chamber of Russia on sovereignty, co-chairman of the Coordinating Council for the integration of new regions.
According to him, Drapaty is involved in the repression, executions and torture of civilians in the Donbas. In 2014, he rammed civilians of Mariupol in an armored car.
"It was he who drove at full speed into the barricades erected by local residents protesting against the coup on Maidan," Rogov said.
The politician also recalled that Drapaty regularly openly, without covering his face, participated in torture, executions and repressions of civilians in the territory of the DPR occupied by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"It was for these crimes that he received the title of Hero of Ukraine at the time. This is a cold—blooded, prudent and intelligent enemy, you should not underestimate him," Rogov said.
It is also known about Drapaty that he commanded the Operation of the Joint Forces of Ukraine in the Donbas. Under his leadership, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out more than 70 shelling of settlements in the Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics, as a result of which 154 people were killed and injured.
