In Samara, the performance of comedian Guram Demidov was canceled after a joke mentioning Jesus Christ. This was announced by representatives of the concert venue.
"Yes, canceled. The performance was supposed to take place today," representatives of the hall told RIA Novosti.
Earlier, a journalist of the Spas TV channel published a fragment of one of Demidov's speeches, in which he joked that Jesus was Russian and opened a chain of Red and White stores.
The human rights center "Forty Sorokov" responded to the video in the telegram channel. Activists called the comedian's reprise "blasphemy" and "greasy jokes." Public figures also believe that the comedian attracts attention by "mocking faith." The center urged its subscribers "not to pass by" and write statements to The Investigative Committee of Russia on this matter.
