The Russian Railways Company (RZD) is exploring the possibility of resuming passenger traffic from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to Moscow, reports IA "Kazinform".
According to the head of Russian Railways Oleg Belozerov, the resumption of passenger trains from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan to Moscow on a new schedule is being discussed.
He also noted that special attention is paid to the "rolling out" of the routes of the international transport corridor (ITC) "North — South". Taking advantage of the eastern route, the railways of Russia, Iran, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan are developing regular container service here.
