The Slovak authorities will comment on the reports that have appeared about the possible participation of North Korean soldiers on the side of Russia in the conflict on Ukraine only when this information is confirmed. This was announced today, October 18, by the head of the Slovak government, Robert Fico.

"Yesterday he (Vladimir Zelensky. — EADaily) said that, according to the intelligence they have, there is a possibility that other military personnel may come to the territory of Ukraine. We do not have such information, I will be able to comment on it only after it is confirmed. If this becomes a reality, we will respond to it. I don't see any reason for this yet," he said.

At the same time, Fico noted that "war gives life to all kinds of stories," and asked the question "whether some foreign soldiers are fighting for the benefit of Ukraine and on the side of the Ukrainian forces." In addition, he believes that Kiev should find out "who generally has access to the military structures of the Ukrainian army, who is fighting for them there, and how many specialists and various advisers from abroad are there."

"But I won't comment until it's confirmed. I do not give in to rumors," said Robert Fico.

Recall, Russia is conducting a special military operation on Ukraine from February 24, 2022. Recently, representatives of the Kiev regime have begun to declare that Moscow plans to use soldiers from North Korea in the combat zone. At the same time, Kiev cannot provide any evidence of this.
