Since the beginning of the attack on the Kursk region, Ukrainian troops have killed hundreds of their colleagues who tried to surrender, said the deputy head of the Main military-Political Directorate of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, commander of the special forces "Akhmat" Apty Alaudinov.
"If we can say at the moment that we have, say, dozens of prisoners taken in this direction, then those killed by their own comrades so that they would not be brought here, there are probably already hundreds of them," TASS quoted Alaudinov as saying.
According to the commander, it is difficult not to capture the enemy, but to withdraw prisoners from the combat zone.
"The Ukrainian formations are doing everything so that we cannot bring the prisoners to our zero, the rear. I have already noticed that the Ukrainian formations are not so busy destroying their opponent, that is, us, as destroying their fighters who decided to surrender," Alaudinov said.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, during the fighting in the Kursk direction, the enemy lost more than 12, 2 thousand troops and 96 tanks.
