The leader of the parliamentary faction "Butun Kyrgyzstan" Iskhak Masaliev was outraged by the policy of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan. This is reported by the telegram channel "Salam Kyrgyzstan".
"How do we understand the requirement of our National Bank to completely ban [work] with Russian banks? Is this us against the Russian Federation? And I appeal to you not only as a speaker, but also as a member of the Security Council to consider all these issues," he addressed a question to Parliament Speaker Nurlanbek Shakiyev.
In addition, Masaliev urged deputies to think about how to support Russia in the conflict with Ukraine, reproaching the authorities that Kyrgyzstan "still adheres to a neutral position."
"There is a missile attack on 15 regions of Russia. I think and worry about the compatriots who work there, and there are about 1 million of them. We are part of the CSTO, I want to address toraga (Chairman of the parliament. — Approx. EADaily) as a member of the Security Council, this issue needs to be studied in depth and a decision must be made, but we must support it. [...] Dear deputies, we need to think about how to help Russia," Masaliev said.
Earlier, the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan obliged all banks in the country to stop transactions with Russia.
