Famous TV presenter, producer and director, screenwriter of the trilogy of films "Love is a Carrot" Alexander Oleynikov died in Moscow at the age of 61.
This was announced on Saturday, January 24, by Channel One, the information was confirmed to journalists by his son Maxim. He clarified that his father suddenly passed away last night.
The TASS news agency, for its part, reports, referring to the director's entourage, that the cause of his sudden death was a detached blood clot.
Alexander Anatolyevich has been working on television since 1985. According to those who knew him well, he came to television when he was 20 and understood: It's a calling.
In addition to working on television projects, Oleynikov directed 7 films and mini-series, including: "The Ghost of the Arbat", "Detective for a million" and others. He also wrote scripts for the films "Love is a Carrot".
It is also known that from 1997 to 2000 he was the director of public relations at the Moscow International Film Festival. Since 2001 — member of the Academy of Russian Television.
