The Main Military Investigation Directorate (GVSU) of the RF IC has opened a criminal case, within the framework of which information about the ill-treatment of Russian servicemen will be verified. This is reported by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
"A video has been posted on social media showing the brutal treatment of Russian servicemen by Ukrainian militants. In order to verify this information, the Main Military Investigation Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under part 1 of Article 356 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (use of prohibited methods in armed conflict)," the telegram channel of the department says.
It is noted that the head of the TFR Alexander Bastrykin instructed the GVSU to give a legal assessment of the published information as part of the investigation of the case, and if the information is confirmed, then identify the persons involved in the commission of the crime.
We are talking about a video that captures several, presumably, Russian fighters. They are tied up, their eyes are wrapped, apparently, with electrical tape, some are lying on the floor. One of the fighters is forced by the Ukrainian military to name his unit and shout Nazi slogans. He is silent, for which he receives an electric shock.
"The Kursk direction. Enemy cadres. The Nazis are mocking our prisoners. They tied the fighter to the iron legs of the table and electrocuted him, forcing him to name his unit and shout Ukrainian slogans. Ours is holding up. He is silent," writes the telegram channel "Two Majors".
