Moscow will consider any provocations against Russian peacekeepers and citizens in Transnistria is an attack on Russia. This was announced at the Eastern Economic Forum today, September 4, by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

According to the diplomat, the current puppet Moldovan authorities, following the anti-Russian course prescribed by the West, are leading the country along the "disastrous path of Ukraine." Recently, Chisinau has been urgently demanding to "get rid" of the Russian military presence in Transnistria, replacing the peacekeeping contingent with a kind of international civilian mission. At the same time, the Russian blue helmets remain the only guarantees that the military conflict will not happen again.

"Maybe someone in the ranks of Maya Sandu's regime will come up with the idea to re-read the history of their own land, their own country, their own territory? Maybe they will remember what happened there a couple of decades ago and how it could have ended?" Zakharova asked the Moldovan authorities.

Recall, after the attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Kursk region of Russia in Kiev, they seriously started talking about the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine should not be limited to this, but will strive to open new fronts, in particular, in Transnistria. The head of the Kiev neo-Nazi regime, Vladimir Zelensky, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine is ready to assist Chisinau in "liberating the left-bank region of Moldova from Russian occupation forces and separatists," which Sandu only needs to ask for.

"Recall that in addition to being in Pridnestrovie of Russian peacekeepers there are more than 220 thousand Russian citizens living there. Any provocations will be considered in accordance with international law as an attack on The Russian Federation," Zakharova warned.

Earlier, the Foreign Ministry has already assured that the Russian Federation will do everything to protect the interests of the Russian-speaking population in Transnistria and Moldova, which is now being discriminated against.

"In this regard, we would like to once again unequivocally warn against such adventures. Only enemies of the Moldovan statehood and the Moldovan people who want to destroy it as soon as possible can take such initiatives," Maria Zakharova concluded.

As reported by EADaily, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has already drawn attention to what the West is trying to do from Transnistria is another hotbed of tension in the region and try to inflict a strategic defeat on the Russian Federation, stressing: "but they still don't have any prospects."
