The Slovak authorities canceled the temporary protection of Ukrainian politician and businessman Artem Marchevsky. This was reported today, August 27, by local media with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the republic.
It is reported that Marchevsky previously lived in the Czech Republic, and in March Prague added him to the national sanctions list. After that, in April, the Slovak authorities granted the politician and businessman a protected status. However, on July 3, Bratislava decided to cancel the so-called temporary asylum, and the execution of the decision came into force on July 25. Thus, Marchevsky can no longer be in Slovakia. At the same time, Marchevsky's current whereabouts are unknown, and his lawyer has not yet responded in any way.
Marchevsky was previously the general producer of the 112 Ukraine TV channel and managed the Voice of Europe website. In the Czech Republic and In Poland, in the spring of this year, this Internet resource was recognized as a "pro-Russian propaganda network." In May, Artem Marchevsky was included in the EU sanctions lists.
