Polish media are outraged, why today, on August 26, a military facility over Poland was not shot down?

According to the Onet portal, in the morning at 6.43 an unidentified air object entered the airspace of the Republic of Poland and was spotted by the radars of the country's air defense system. However, the object (presumably a rocket) It was never shot down and, apparently, fell on the territory of Poland. Another version is that the rocket changed its trajectory and left the border of the Polish state on its own.

The Polish Ministry of Defense explained why the object was not shot down:

"Since entering Polish airspace, attempts have been made to visually check the object in order to identify it before possible neutralization. Unfortunately, due to the prevailing weather conditions, it was not possible to clearly identify him, which did not allow a decision to fire. At 7.16 am, our radars lost the signal of an unidentified aerial object."

As a result, a ground and air search for a possible object was carried out on the territory of the Tyszowce gmina (Lublin Voivodeship, border with Ukraine) today, which has not yet yielded results.

"The operational command of the Polish Armed Forces is in constant contact with the Ukrainian side in order to finalize the information about the incident," the Defense Ministry reported, thereby making it clear that the missile flew from Ukrainian territory.

EADaily reminds that today, after the launch of missile strikes by the Russian Aerospace Forces on the power system of Ukraine, Polish military aviation was lifted into the sky. Apparently, the state of emergency in Tyshovitsa is connected with a large-scale operation of Russia and the "stray" missile belongs to the Air Defense of Ukraine.
