A confrontation took place with the accused in the preparation of an attempt on Simonyan

New details of the investigation into the assassination of the editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya media group and RT Margarita Simonyan have become known. A confrontation was held with the defendants on it, which follows from the case file, which RIA Novosti refers to today, August 24.

The same defendants are supposed to have planned an assassination attempt on Ksenia Sobchak.

"From the moment of choosing a preventive measure <> a confrontation was held between the accused," the first details became known.

EADaily reminds that in mid-July 2023, the FSB and the police reported on the preparation of an assassination attempt on Simonyan and Sobchak by the Ukrainian special services. We are talking about neo-Nazis from the Paragraph-88 group, who were based in Moscow and in Ryazan region. For each murder, they were promised a reward of 1.5 million rubles.

In total, law enforcement officers arrested eight people.
