The military of the Aida detachment of the Akhmat special forces burned the French Crotale anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) in the Kursk region, Major General Apti Alaudinov, the Akhmat commander, said.
According to Alaudinov, the air defense system was used to neutralize Russian helicopters that were preparing to clean up Martynovka.
"My guys burned this air defense system, it costs € 8 million euros, and my guys burned it with an FPV school, which costs 60 thousand rubles. So the NATO French equipment turned out to have a normal price," Alaudinov said.
In addition, eight pieces of equipment were destroyed during the day — one tank, three armored combat vehicles and a transport, he added.
