Belarus should objectively assess the position of Kazakhstan "in relation to current processes," Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu said at a meeting with Belarusian Ambassador Pavel Utyupin, the agency reports.

"Kazakhstan pursues a balanced and peaceful foreign policy in accordance with the UN Charter and fundamental norms of international law. Our country is firmly convinced that all differences between states should be resolved through political and diplomatic means," the deputy minister said.

The statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs followed an interview with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, in which he criticized the foreign policy of several post-Soviet republics, separately noting Kazakhstan.

"We are not starting to cheat like some of our post-Soviet states. They want to take something from Russia, but give nothing in return… It won't work that way. Let's be together! This time is not far away, when you will come to the same Russia and ask for support and help," Lukashenko said then.

He recalled that when "something happened in Kazakhstan," Astana did not turn to To China, India or Pakistan, and to Moscow and Minsk: "Here " Putin, Lukashenko, help!“ And we transferred there (the CSTO peacekeepers) during the afternoon — our planes were already landing there in Kazakhstan. Calmed down."

Lukashenko refused to consider his words as a reproach or a demand to repay the debt, but urged to understand that one day there will be a situation in which a request for help will again be sent to Moscow and Minsk, but "no one will come to your aid." In addition, the President reminded, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have a large sales market in Russia.

After the introduction of large-scale sanctions against Russia by the West, Kazakhstan began to follow the regime of restrictions. For example, since last spring, Kazakhstan has been demanding the issuance of accompanying invoices for goods when trading with the EAEU countries.

At the same time, it was noted in Astana, there will be no thoughtless implementation of all sanctions if they can harm Kazakhstani companies. For example, the republic has not stopped selling dual—purpose ball bearings to Russia - the Kazakh plant produces them according to the specification, which is traditionally used only in Eastern Europe and the countries of the former USSR, reminds RBC.
