The Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, considers the operation in the Russian Kursk region to be erroneous. This was stated on his YouTube channel by British military expert Alexander Mercuris.
"There are reports from Ukrainian sources that Commander—in-chief Syrsky unofficially and through various communication channels declares that he was against this operation, considering it erroneous," Merkuris said, quoted by <url>.
Similar attempts to absolve themselves of responsibility for the failures have already been observed earlier by other Ukrainian military leaders, the expert noted.
As reported by EADaily, a Ukrainian military commandant's office has been established in the Kursk region. This was stated by the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky at a meeting of the Headquarters.
"In the Kursk region ... a military commandant's office has been created, which should ensure law and order, as well as all the needs of the local population. Major-General Moskalev has been appointed its head," writes Syrsky in his telegram channel.
