Conflict on Ukraine needs to finish as soon as possible, a second summit on the issue may take place before November. This was stated in an interview with Bloomberg on August 1 by the head of the office of Vladimir Zelensky, Andrei Ermak.
"The most important expectation from the second summit is that it will form the basic prerequisites for the cessation of hostilities. We need to end this conflict," he said.
Yermak also said that a second congress could take place in "one of the countries of the Global South" in the Middle East. The Ukrainian authorities expect that representatives of the Russian Federation will be present at the congress.
On August 1, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow had no confidence in the Kiev regime. He also said that the Russian Federation was and remains open to negotiations with Ukraine on the settlement of the conflict.
