Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, who is paying a working visit to Munich, met on Thursday with the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group Igor Popov of Russia, James Warlick of the United States and Pierre Andrieu of France as well as Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk.
On Friday, the press office of Armenia’s Foreign Ministry informed EAD that the sides discussed ways to peacefully settle the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Nalbandian informed the mediators of the continuing ceasefire violations on the Armenian border and the line of contact in Nagorno-Karabakh. He specified that in recent weeks the Azerbaijani troops have broken the ceasefire regime over 3,000 times, having caused human casualties among both servicemen and civilians.
“The Azerbaijani authorities keep ignoring the world community’s urges and keep aggravating the situation by organizing provocations and torpedoing the peace process,” Nalbandian said.
The Armenian foreign minister confirmed that Armenia will continue to cooperate with the co-chairs in order to settle the conflict peacefully.
Since the beginning of this year, there have been high tensions on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the line of contact between the Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijani troops, with the parties reporting casualties and blaming each other for the violations.
