Putin: "We are ready, together with society, to give a decisive rebuff to all hostile steps"

The Russian political system, together with society, is ready to defend the country and rebuff any hostile steps. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting in the Kremlin with deputies of the final work of the VIII convocation of the State Duma.

"Our political system and the institution of power are formed on a sovereign basis in full compliance with the Constitution of the Russian Federation. We are ready to defend the country, we are able, together with society, to give a decisive rebuff to any hostile steps," the head of state stressed.

As the President noted, "our multinational people responded to historical trials, to external aggressive pressure with internal cohesion — this has always been the case, and this is exactly what is happening today."
