Children of migrants over the age of 18 will have to leave Russia within a month

Children of foreign workers after reaching the age of 18 will have to apply for their own employment patent within 30 days, or leave the country. The relevant bill was adopted today on July 8, the State Duma of the Russian Federation in the third reading.

As long as the children remain minors, they will be able to stay in the Russian Federation only for the period of validity of the parent's patent. At the same time, a foreigner will have to pay a fixed advance tax not only for himself, but also for each dependent child. The bill prohibits the issuance or renewal of a patent if a foreigner's income is below the subsistence minimum.
