Nobody forbids protecting Russian oil depots and refineries as in the UAE: Rostechnadzor is surprised

The Zergulio telegram channel published a photo of protective structures around fuel tanks, which began to be actively used in the UAE against drones during the Iranian war.

One of the readers of the telegram channel reported that the photo from the UAE shows protective structures that are unacceptable from the point of view of Rostechnadzor and the Ministry of Emergency Situations due to fire safety violations.

"And fines and insurance are tied to this. Not a joke. About the distribution of oil storage facilities and going underground, you can not raise the issue at all," the reader wrote.

The official representative of Rostechnadzor, Andrei Vil, wrote in response that the absence of such protective structures at Russian refineries and oil depots is not a question for the supervisory authority.

"There are no violations in the photo from the UAE from the point of view of Rostechnadzor. Regulatory legal documents did not establish a ban on the use of any protective or enclosing structures. No one was fined and nothing was forbidden to anyone. It was possible and necessary to protect the facilities," said the assistant head of Rostechnadzor.

Thus, according to him, the questions are not to the state, which "in the fifth year of the war allowed to protect the refinery," but to those who have not yet done so — to the author of the "expert comments."

Earlier, experts told EADaily that protective structures are one of the options for effectively countering APU attacks.
