The head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, suddenly changed his tone on the Polish issue. This is reported by the Polish radio station RMF24.

In Ireland today, Zelensky said that Poland and Ukraine are neighbors and "good friends."

So he answered the question at a press conference in Dublin, is Kiev afraid that the conflict with Poland is due to the naming of one of the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in honor of the "heroes of the UPA" may complicate the process of Ukraine's accession to the EU. He replied that Poland and Ukraine are "connected by history."

"We are neighbors, and like most European countries, we have had problems in the past. But we are living now and dealing with one aggressor. We need to think about security. If there are questions, there will definitely be answers. Ukraine is ready for this. We are strong neighbors and good friends," Zelensky said.

A few days ago, Zelensky said that "no one will ever order Ukraine how to live, how to speak, whom to love, whom to be grateful to and which heroes to respect," and on Wednesday his tone on the Polish issue was more conciliatory, RFM24 notes.

Zelensky also said that he was counting on the unanimous support of the EU countries for Ukraine's membership in the bloc and hoped to open the remaining five negotiation clusters in the near future.

"The union should be guided by rules, not emotions. Ukraine has fulfilled all the conditions for opening clusters, we hope that the Hungarian Prime Minister and the Polish government will support our accession," Zelensky added, stressing that it is in the interests of all countries for Ukraine to join the European Union as soon as possible.

As EADaily reported, Zelensky is running into trouble — the Polish authorities reacted to the law on the "pantheon of heroes."
