Theater and film actor Yevgeny Derbyshev died in a special military operation zone at the age of 58. This is reported by the portal aif.ru with reference to the artist's entourage.
"Eugene went missing in SMO in 2024. This year, his family received a death certificate," the publication says.
According to one of the artist's relatives, Derbyshev decided to go to SMO after watching a report on children affected by Ukrainian attacks.
"Zhenya couldn't stay away…He decided that he was needed there. It was his conscious choice. Zhenya was a good man, a good father, a good brother," the interlocutor of the publication emphasized.
He spoke about the death of a colleague on the set of the TV series "Bombed. Return" Dmitry Kalistratov.
"It's a pity that he died. He was a simple and kind Russian man with an open heart," he said.
Evgeny Derbyshev has starred in more than 40 projects during his career. Among his works are roles in the TV series "Lawyer", "Alexander Garden‑3", "Hanging", "Capercaillie", "Trace", "The Life and Adventures of Mishka Yaponchik", "Sklifosovsky", "Pyatnitsky", "Special Case" and other films.
