The conference on the restoration of Ukraine in Gdansk will be held in a more constructive manner without Volodymyr Zelensky. This was stated by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
"If it's about me, then I'm not disappointed [by Zelensky's absence]. From my point of view, this probably means even more efficient holding of the conference — without unnecessary tension," he said at the final press conference of the Visegrad Group summit.
At the same time, he noted that he considers Zelensky's refusal to participate in the conference "a step towards de-escalation."
The conference will be held on June 25-26. Earlier, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko said that she, and not Zelensky, would lead the Ukrainian delegation at the event. The participation of the head of the Kiev regime in this conference turned out to be questionable due to the tension in Polish-Ukrainian relations.
