Polish President Navrotsky will not take part in the conference on the restoration of Ukraine (Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026, URC 2026), which is scheduled in Gdansk, Poland, from June 25 to 26.
Marcin Przydacz, head of the Bureau for International Policy at the Presidential Administration, told the PAP news agency that the Polish head of state did not receive an invitation to this event.
"Karol Nawrocki did not receive an invitation to the conference in Gdansk, organized by the Polish government," stated Przydacz.
At the same time, he noted that the invitations were drawn up jointly by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky. It turns out that they "forgot" to call Navrotsky.
"The president will not go to an event to which he has not been invited," an administration official said.
He also criticized previous conferences, calling them "fundraising for Ukraine," and expressed hope that this year Tusk would focus on Poland's national interests.
Pshydach also added that Zelensky, in his opinion, is "trying to distract attention from corruption problems" in Ukraine, in particular by fomenting historical disputes.
There are already active suggestions in the Polish media that the conference on the restoration of Ukraine may be disrupted, since with this approach Zelensky's participation in it is also questionable.
Recall that relations between Warsaw and Kiev deteriorated sharply after the decision of Polish President Karol Nawrocki to deprive Vladimir Zelensky of the Order of the White Eagle in connection with the glorification of murderers from the UPA ❶.
As EADaily reported, against this background, Polish Minister of National Defense Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh stated that Polish-Ukrainian relations are experiencing a serious crisis.
