God's dew: the Kremlin continues to declare its desire for contacts with Europe

The Kremlin believes that even in the current situation, Russia needs contacts with Europe, explaining this by the logic of common sense. The corresponding statements were made today, June 19, by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.

"President Putin has repeatedly said that we are ready for negotiations, we are ready for contacts, and we were not the initiators of the termination and curtailment of these contacts to zero," Peskov said. — The very logic of common sense, of course, dictates the need for contacts in order to discuss the huge number of issues, the most complex issues that are on the agenda and that are challenges for us."

As EADaily reported, the leaders of the Group of Seven countries at the summit in France agreed to support Ukraine and strengthen sanctions against Russia. The joint statement notes that now is the right time to take additional measures against Russia, "since US President Donald Trump has concluded a deal to open the Strait of Hormuz, which we support."

At the same time, the G7 leaders declared their "unwavering support for Ukraine", agreeing to increase the supply of air defense systems, additional systems and interceptors, as well as long-range means.
