The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the night group strike on the territory of Ukraine, which followed in response to the attacks of the UAV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Russian civilian infrastructure.
The corresponding statement is published on Thursday morning, June 18, by the press service of the military department on its official resources.
"Tonight, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a group strike in response to the terrorist attacks of the Kiev regime," the release says.
It will be clarified that the strikes were carried out with high-precision ground- and air-based weapons, as well as long-range unmanned aerial vehicles.
The objects of the attack were identified as enterprises of the fuel and energy complex of Ukraine, used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"The following are affected: the fuel and lubricants warehouse in the Boryspil-2 settlement of the Kiev region and the Zaturino oil refinery of the Poltava region," the Defense Ministry concluded.
Earlier, EADaily reported that last night the Russian air defense forces shot down 555 enemy UAVs in different regions of our country. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin stated that 180 enemy drones had been destroyed on approach to Moscow since the beginning of the day.
