The Russian side is actively working to create effective means of countering attacks by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to VGTRK correspondent Pavel Zarubin. Thus, the minister commented on the threats of the head of the military Department of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov about plans to "turn Crimea into an island."
The representative of Kiev said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly isolate the Crimean Peninsula with the help of drones.
"Yes, he did. But I didn't really understand how he was going to do it, because he was referring to drones. There is an antidote for any drone, and we are actively working on this right now. He has recently been in office, he needs to get used to it," Lavrov said.
Earlier, EADaily reported that today's attempt to attack enemy drones on Moscow was the largest in two years. This is evidenced by the data of the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin. According to his latest message, 85 UAVs have been shot down by air defense forces since the beginning of the current day.
